BALLOON BLAST
Elastic forces at work
An air filled balloon is inside a frame. Beneath it there is a pin, fixed to a weight and kept under tension by a set of elastics. When in equilibrium, weight force and elastic force are perfectly balanced. In free fall elastic force is no longer in balance and pushes the weight with the pin upwards, causing the balloon to blast.
